The Kings decided they would take their time and arrive in regal fashion this year and they did. The last week in June started the season with a lot of happy fishermen. Due to a cold winter and water conditions the royal Kings waited for the weather and barometer to fall and they arrived in the later part of the week just in time to fill clients tags.
The following weeks were treated to the cold Alaskan weather and good fishing. Sockeye and Chum were harvested as well. Again, everyone went home with filled boxes.
Week three the big Kings graced the Nush with their presence. Nice fresh large KIngs were harvested as well as Chums and Pinks. The largest King of our season was hooked a whooping 47 pounds! This week turned out to be a phenomenal fishing week. Cold and rainy and great fishing!
This last week of July has brought in the Pinks. They are plentiful and full of spirit when hooked. They are leading the ways for the Silvers...August report out to come stay turned...
